Plains Soul Sage Ponies are made from sage collected by a good friend from their property on the Northern Cheyenne reservation just next door. These wall hangings are the basis of the Plains Soul logo and I have been making them for many years. The 5” rawhide ponies attached to the sage bundle are made from rawhide scraps from other projects. They are either deer, goat, or cow rawhide. After receiving a PS Sage Pony, a very nice customer wrote, “Placing sage above the doorway is a custom of the Apsaalooke People for protection and for good blessings to enter your home.” A card with this description is included with each Sage Pony. The pieces are approximately 20” wide and a wool cloth tie hangs from the piece. These are seasonal, once the sage for the year is gone we are out of stock.
